Everyone knows Matthew 28:19 Make disciples of all nations, but something that the Lord has taught me. Is that it says “Go Therefore” its an invitation to go make disciples of all nations. That invitation is not make disciples like that’s the only thing you do. It means “as you go” make disciples of all nations. Since being in Africa that’s how it’s been people don’t always receive you well when you come out, and say you’re a Jesus Freak!
They know you by the way you love others!
Little update currently in Nairobi now, and We are going to the biggest Slums in Africa today and 3rd largest in the world. We met some amazing friends, some with incredible testimonies. When I was first walking through Slums. All I could smell was sewage and burning trash. As I met some amazing families, and got to share Jesus with so many people. Something changed in me. I saw my brothers and sisters in this light that God sees them. Walking through crouched down through Wet Clothing. Through small openings and tiny doorways, just to meet this amazing Mom. Who has sacrificed everything for her children.
It will make me cry every time.
God you are so good to Leave the 99 and go after the 1. It was so refreshing walking through a maze of things stepping over Sewers, high-fiving children along the way. Then as soon as you take your sandals off before entering a family’s home. Getting greeted with a Banana or some type of offering. I will always remember this, and will never forget.
During this time I have been sick with Covid but have been feeling a lot better. I went to the chemist in Africa. It’s a pharmacy and you can get Amoxicillin for $4 dollars which is so nice. I wish America was that. Also I learned that if you want Day-Quil in Africa you are going to spend $40 dollars USD which is crazy. Anything Name brand do not buy it Africa. Lesson learned!
This has been very growing, because during this time I have been the Team Leader which is very challenging to lead when you’re sick. It taught me that with Lords strength I can do anything. It also taught me that I can’t lead without my team. We have been doing a lot of evangelism wherever we go. This is to security people where we are staying, or at a place we are eating honestly everywhere our whole team has been telling every name about the Name of Jesus.
It’s been so much growing and I love my team so much. We have been all running after Jesus with so much fervency. It’s hard to condense everything that is going on into a blog, but it’s been really nice to do ministry with everyone.
There has been so much going on I’ve seen people give their lives to Jesus on the streets. When I get some more time I have to sit down and reflect on all that I have done. I am so grateful to be able to spread the Living word of Christ to everyone I see!
Look forward I’m going to post some more blogs and some videos and pictures of everything going on in the next couple days when I get time.
Be praying I am literally living in a Muslim community and they’re not to happy that were spreading the Gospel of Jesus! The Lord has been protecting our whole team. He has also been so gracious to us. Love everyone back home, and can’t wait to see you again!
In the quiet moments of our faith journey, there are often times when we find ourselves saying goodbye. But sometimes, it's in those farewells that we encounter God in the most profound ways.
Reflecting on my recent mission trip, I realized that every goodbye carries a sense of hope. Each parting is not just an end, but a beautiful beginning—an opportunity for spiritual growth and transformation. As we leave behind familiar faces and places, we step into the unknown, trusting that God will meet us there.
So, as I bid farewell, I do so with a heart full of gratitude. There’s a warmth that lingers, a reminder that every encounter, every moment shared, is a thread woven into the larger tapestry of our spiritual journey. It’s in these small yet significant moments that we discover the depth of our faith.
With each goodbye, I am reminded that our paths are intertwined, and though we may part ways, we carry each other in our hearts, continuing to grow and inspire one another along this incredible journey of faith.
As I sit here reflecting on my recent mission trip, I can’t help but feel a sense of gratitude wash over me. This experience was not just a journey across miles; it was a deep dive into my faith journey, an opportunity to encounter God in the faces of those I served and in the moments we shared.
From the very first day, I was reminded of the beauty that comes with serving others. Each interaction was a chance to connect and to love, revealing the threads of hope woven through our lives. It’s incredible how a simple act of kindness can spark a flame of spiritual growth within, igniting a passion for service that I didn’t fully understand before.
I remember a particular moment, standing in a humble home, surrounded by laughter and joy despite the challenges that life had thrown their way. There, I encountered God in a way that I had never experienced before. It was as if every smile and every word exchanged was a prayer, echoing the truth that we are all connected in this journey of faith.
This mission trip has opened my eyes to the power of community and the importance of leaning into our faith, especially when faced with uncertainty. Each day was a lesson in trust—trust in God, trust in the goodness of people, and trust in the unfolding of our stories.
As I return home, I carry with me not just the memories of those beautiful encounters, but also a renewed sense of purpose. This journey has reminded me that our mission doesn’t end when we leave a place; rather, it continues in our hearts and actions. I am inspired to bring this spirit of service into my everyday life, to seek out opportunities to love and to serve, and to share the hope that has been so generously given to me.
In reflecting on this mission trip, I realize that every step we take in our faith journey is an opportunity to encounter God, to grow spiritually, and to be a beacon of hope for others. I am excited to see where this journey takes me next, trusting that it will lead to even more beautiful encounters along the way.
As I reflect on this moment, I can't help but think about the profound encounters we have during our mission trips. Sometimes, those we meet may not fully grasp the significance of their circumstances, and that can be hard to witness. Yet, in those fleeting goodbyes, there's a sense of hope.
Each farewell holds a promise of spiritual growth, both for us and for those we leave behind. It's a reminder that our faith journey continues, intertwined with every soul we encounter. Even when understanding seems distant, I believe God is at work, weaving His love into the fabric of our lives.
So, as we say goodbye, let's carry the light of our experiences with us, trusting that our mission trip was just one chapter in the greater story God is telling. Each encounter, each moment, is a step toward a deeper faith, and I hold onto the hope that we all grow from these experiences.
