If I could some up training camp with 3 words they would be โI feel freeโ. This last 10 days have been so amazing, and freeing. I have found family, and they are fervently following Jesus. They push me in ways I never thought possible. I love all of my 25+ Brothers and Sisters. In these last 2 weeks I have been worshipping in Love and Truth.
There has been a lot of Clapping, and dancing itโs been really fun. Not this place of looking around what everyone else is doing, but eyes fixed on Jesus. One of the things our leaders asked was spend some quality time with Jesus, and ask Him what he wants to play. At first this sounds crazy to me. Playing with Jesus? Well I asked God what he wanted to play, and he said a memory game. Which I was not expecting. He told me we are going to remember all the times you thought I was not there.
God brought me back to this memory when I was about 9 when the Cops showed up at my house, and my parents were fighting, and I would listen in the vent to make sure nothing escalated. At the time I thought I was alone. Jesus reminded me he was always there. I felt so much peace.
When it was my Sabbath I was hanging out in the woods, and I asked God what do you want to play, and he said letโs play Hopscotch. I have never really played Hopscotch, but I said sure God letโs play Hopscotch in the middle of the Woods. I used a stick to make all the squares, and I played a little just me and God. Then a couple of my Squad members were walking by and we played Hopscotch together. ย ย
Even a random girl from another squad was walking by, and asked if she wanted to play it was so much fun. I will be asking God if he wants to play all the time now.
Revival Night was so powerful I layed everything down at the Alter. Everything that I have been holding onto for a lifetime. There was an invitation to lay it down at his feet, and to not pick it up. For me this was unforgiveness , and anxiety and fear and not forgiving myself for all the things I have walked through in my life. It was a such powerful night.
Throughout the week we were doing many team challenges that God was preparing me through. We started off flipping towels with all of us standing on it. We had to carry the other person without stepping off the towel. Which seems easy until you do it.
We also did anotherย one where you have to lift a hoola hoop up with you fingers all at the same time. These challenges really spoke to me, I saw how others thought, but I never thought that I couldย bring my perspective into it. I mostly had an idea, but through a fear of being wrong or it not working I would never try.
This week the Lord and through my brothers and sisters I have really seen what I can bring to the table. This is so much healing to me, because I always had these thoughts but never acted on if we twist the towel and do it in 3 sides we can actually do it a lot faster. We did the towel trick in 47 secs with 6 people Blindfolded which is crazy. God is so good and to see that played out of my team was so amazing. Iโm in Awe of what God has done, and continuing to do.
Chloe told me to be whimsy, and I love her and I have really been staying true to being whimsy. I have danced the Salsa in front of everyone during Squad wars. I have been jumping up and down for Jesus, and never had so much fun.
The world is so much better with Dancing and Joy! I have been sick for the last couple days, but I have still been very present, and having the best time. I love my family at home, but also my new found family. I cannot wait for everyone to meet everyone on my team. It so refreshing to be surrounded by brothers and sisters who love the Lord so much.
I love you guys so much and so grateful for the opportunity to share Jesus around the world. Thank you for all the Support and my family the God has brought in my life.
Little update currently in Nairobi now, and We are going to the biggest Slums in Africa today and 3rd largest in the world. Next Blog I will tell you all God is doing in me and through me Love you, and miss you.
Hello, friends! What a beautiful day it is to embrace the adventure that lies ahead! As we gather in this moment, let us remember that each day presents us with the chance to rise, to awaken our spirits, and to embark on our unique faith journeys.
